HKU SERVICE100 Project 2015: Oral Health Promotion among Homeless People in Hong Kong

Prof Edward CM Lo (Chair Professor of Dental Public Health), as Faculty advisor, has been awarded a grant of HK$12,000 from the HKU SERVICE 100 Fund (incorporating the Student Knowledge Exchange Project Grant) to conduct the extracurricular service project ” Oral health promotion among homeless people in Hong Kong”, from 1 April 2015 to 30 September 2015.

The student members of the project team are student project leader Jingyu Zhan (PhD) and team members Xinchen Yang (PhD), Rita PC Suen (MPhil), Shuxiang Lei (MSc), Alan SL Leung (MSc), Hung-bun Choy (MSc), Christina WK Chan (BDS), Phoebe PY Lam (BDS), Francis CL Tse (BDS), and Samantha Chu (BDS)

The partner organisation is Saint Barnabas’ Society and Home

Event details: 19th July & 26th July 2015 at Saint Barnabas’ Society and Home

This project will provide dental outreach services and oral hygiene instruction to 60 homeless people Saint Barnabas’ Society and Home.
