Led by Dr. Mattheos, this MOOC is taught by a dream-team of more than 20 international experts in Implant Dentistry. Each week offers specialized knowledge, presents evidence-based clinical procedures and actual patient cases for learners to engage with.
The MOOC includes 5 modules and runs over a period of 5 weeks. The journey of Implant Dentistry begins by exploring how discoveries in biology and technological developments led to the current practice of dental implants. Then, clinical cases are examined, patients’ needs and expectations are diagnosed while students gradually learn the principles of treatment planning. The current surgical procedures for placing implants and various restorative techniques are taught step-by-step , directed by current evidence and best practices. Finally, major threats and complications of implant procedures are investigate, while also discussing ways to ensure successful treatments and long serving implants.
