Abstract
TADs have been developed and incorporated in orthodontic practise for almost two decades. With the advancement of TADs design and clinical and basic researches, it has expanded the scope of orthodontic treatment dramatically.
In this lecture, I will mainly focus on two aspects. One is factors related with stability and success, which will involve the TADs design, operators’ techniques and individual dependant factors. The other is the application of TADs in clinic combined with fixed appliances and clear aligner treatment. With the case discussion, the take home message will be that TADs is an important tool for orthodontists, but diagnosis and treatment plan are always the key to success.
