Safeguard Our Children By Oral Health

In response to World Oral Health Day 2024, the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Hong Kong, in collaboration with the Jockey Club Children Oral Health Project, is organizing the A Happy Mouth is… A Happy Body: Parent-Child Colouring and Slogan Creation Competition. Through the collaboration of kindergarten students and their parents, the aim is to raise awareness of the importance of oral health and establish good oral hygiene habits from an early age, leading to bright smiles and healthy bodies.

Parent-Child Colouring & Slogan Creation Competition
Eligibility
Kindergarten students aged 3 to 6 and their parents.
Format
Entrants must focus on oral health in their creations and freely design slogans within the worksheet provided. Entries must be printed on A4 white paper using the worksheet provided at 100% original size. The entries must be in in two dimensions. Entrants may choose their own colouring tools, but computer-generated works will not be accepted.

Submission

Complete the worksheet and fill out the participation form. Mail them to the following address before the deadline, with the envelope marked 'A Happy Mouth is… A Happy Body: Parent-Child Colouring and Slogan Creation Competition’. The postmark date will be considered as the date of submission. Late or incomplete submissions will not be considered. Submissions can be sent individually or through the kindergarten's unified mailing.

Each entrant can only submit one entry; otherwise, their eligibility will be revoked.

Awards & Prizes

To encourage children's participation, promote oral health knowledge and recognize outstanding entries, the competition offers first prize (3 winners), second prize (5 winners) and excellence award (50 winners). Details are as follows:

Each entrant will receive an electronic certificate issued by the Faculty of Dentistry, The University of Hong Kong.

The results will be announced in late May 2024. Awardees will be notified individually. All awardees will be invited to attend the award ceremony held in late June 2024. Absentees will be considered as forfeiting the prizes and awards and no replacements will be provided.

  • Parents/guardians can guide their children in understanding the importance and methods of good oral health.
  • All entries should be original. Any act that damages personal integrity or infringes copyright is strictly prohibited.
  • Entrants must ensure that their entries have never been publicly published or displayed in any form or manner.
  • Entrants must ensure the accuracy of the information submitted.
  • The Faculty of Dentistry, The University of Hong Kong and the Jockey Club Children Oral Health Project (referred to as the "Organizer") will not compensate or assume any responsibility for any consequences arising from incorrect information provided by entrants.
  • The collected personal data will only be used for the purpose of this event.
  • Once participated in the Competition, the entrants will be deemed to grant the Organizer full ownership and intellectual property rights. The submitted entries will not be returned.
  • The Organizer has the right to use, modify, reproduce, and upload the entries for promotion and publicity purposes on any media, without prior consent or payment of any fees from the entrants.
  • The entries must not contain any obscene, pornographic, violent, or insulting elements.
  • All entries must not contain controversial topics.
  • Entrants are responsible for any shipping costs and issues.
  • The Organizer is not responsible for any losses incurred from participating in this event.
  • Any entrant who fails to follow the requirements, rules, and terms of this competition may have their entry disqualified. The Organizer has the absolute right to decide on the disqualification of any entry, and no disputes will be entertained.
  • The Organizer reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of this event without prior notice.
  • In case of any disputes, the Organizer has the final decision-making and interpretation rights.
  • The terms and conditions are available in both Chinese and English versions, with the Chinese version being the authoritative version.
  • Once the entries are submitted, entrants will be deemed to have agreed to all the terms and conditions.
