Getting Around HK Island
Tram (nicknamed ‘ding ding’) featuring the 40th Anniversary of the Faculty of Dentistry cruised around Hong Kong Island in November 2022.
On 4 November, Professor Thomas Flemmig, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, and several faculty members boarded the tram and rode across Hong Kong Island to celebrate the Faculty’s 40 years of accomplishment. Busy staff and students had a chance to unwind on a two-hour tram ride not just to enjoy the breath-taking city scenes combining historic architecture, modern cityscapes and landmarks, but also share the pleasure of witnessing the development of the Faculty in the past forty years.
Hong Kong Tramways witnessed the development of the Faculty. Since 1904, trams have been travelling between Hong Kong Island’s east and west to serve Hong Kong citizen. We, the Faculty of Dentistry which was founded in 1982 and is located at the Prince Philip Dental Hospital (close to Eastern Street tram stop), are passionate about making an impact on peoples’ lives in Hong Kong and around the world by improving access to high-quality oral healthcare and enhancing clinical outcomes and lowering costs.
