On 24 May 2025, the 10th anniversary of the "Love Teeth Day" programme was successfully held at Dragon Centre! Co-organized by Project Concern Hong Kong (PCHK), the Faculty of Dentistry at HKU, and the Society of Preventive Dentistry of Hong Kong, and generously supported by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust and the Li Ka Shing Foundation, the programme has provided free dental checkups, treatment, and oral health education to over 20,000 citizens in the past decade.
It is honoured to have 11 distinguished guests to officiate the ceremony. They are Dr Abraham Wong, Chairman of PCHK, Professor Lijian Jin, Acting Dean of the HKU Faculty of Dentistry, Professor Chu Chun Hung, Associate Dean (Knowledge Exchange & Development) from the same Faculty, Dr Flora Chan, President of Society of Preventive Dentistry of Hong Kong, Dr Lam Tzit Yuen, Legislative Council Member (Medical and Health Services), Dr Spencer Chan, President of Hong Kong Dental Association, Dr Jennifer Yim, Project Manager of Li Ka Shing Foundation, Miss China Wong, Marketing Manager of Dragon Centre, Professor Teresa Tsien Wong Bik Kwan, Honorary Advisors of PCHK, Dr Conson Yeung, Project Leader of the HKU Faculty of Dentistry, and Ms Chan Ying Yee, Executive Director of PCHK.
Professor Jin expressed his gratitude for the support from funders, partners, and volunteers, and pledged to keep expanding outreach and collaboration to improve oral health for all, “Together, we transform knowledge into action and smiles in our community.”
On the day, HKU dentists and students conducted dental examinations for 56 participants and fluoride treatments for 15 attendees, complemented by interactive oral health education consultation and game booths. A heartfelt thank you to all participants and supporters! We look forward to expanding our outreach and building a healthier, happier Hong Kong together.
