Our professoriate and teaching staff are international both by origin and academic background, many of whom are highly recognized experts in their domain in the world. We also have professionally trained, highly-skilled and dedicated manpower to assist learning. Dental surgery assistants, dental hygienists, dental technicians and laboratory technicians are but a few groups of staff employed by the Faculty of Dentistry to assist learning.

Our renowned taught postgraduate programmes encompass ten subject areas and lead to the Master of Science (MSc) Degrees, the Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) Degrees and the professional Advanced Diploma which builds on the MDS Degree. Many of these programmes fulfil the specialist training requirements of dental specialties of the College of Dental Surgeons of Hong Kong of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine.

There is a limited number of self-financing places in each specialty programme. Some government-funded places may be available for local candidates. Candidates who are interested in studying for the MDS degree in a specific specialty are advised to apply for admission to the relevant curriculum. Candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria for the government-funded places and who have demonstrated academic merit may be offered a place within the government-funded quota of places.
