Biography
Professor Sangjin Lee is an assistant professor in the Division of Applied Oral Sciences and Community Dental Care at the Faculty of Dentistry, the University of Hong Kong (HKU). He obtained his BS from Catholic University of Pusan in 2012, his MS in 2014, and his PhD in 2017 from Kyung Hee University. He is engaged in research in dental tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, focusing on 1) oral and maxillofacial tissue regeneration using biomaterials, 2) 3D tissue organization using highly concentrated patient-derived stem cells, 3) the development of hydrogel-based composite grafts, and 4) the reconstruction of defective tissues through preclinical evaluation.
