Professor Gao Zhang is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Dentistry, The University of Hong Kong. He holds a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania and has undergone advanced training in Genomics, Computational Biology, and Information Technology. Professor Zhang's research focuses on cancer genomics, systems biology, therapeutic resistance, cancer immunology, and brain metastasis. Previously, he served as an Assistant Professor at Duke University, contributing significantly to the Neuro-Oncology Program. He has authored numerous high-impact publications and received several prestigious awards, including the Joanna M. Nicolay Melanoma Foundation's Research Scholarship Award. Professor Zhang is actively involved in academic service, grant reviewing, and mentoring, playing a pivotal role in nurturing future researchers. Recognized among the top 1% of scholars at HKU, his work continues to advance cancer research and therapeutic strategies.
