Biography
Professor Katherine C.M. Leung is a Clinical Associate Professor in Prosthodontics, Associate Dean for Taught Postgraduate Education and the Chief of Clinical Service of the Institute of Advanced Dentistry Multi-Specialty Clinic (IAD-MSC) in the Faculty of Dentistry at HKU. A registered Specialist in Prosthodontics in Hong Kong since 2003, she holds a BDS (1994), an MDS with distinction (1996) and a PhD (2007) from HKU, and the Fellowship of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine (FHKAM, 2003). Her leadership roles include past President of the College of Dental Surgeons of Hong Kong (2022-2023), Chairperson of the Prosthodontic Specialty Board (2017-2019) and past President of the Hong Kong Prosthetic Dentistry Society (2010-2014). Her research interests encompass caries prevention, oral rehabilitation and masticatory function in older adults and medically compromised patients, as well as implant dentistry and dental education.
