Biography
Professor Mike Y.Y. Leung serves as the Associate Dean (Alumni and External Affairs), and a Clinical Professor and Postgraduate Programme Director in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) at the Faculty of Dentistry, The University of Hong Kong. Professor Leung is the President of the Hong Kong Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. On the international level, he represents the Asia Pacific region in the AOCMF Education Commission and is the President of the Asian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. After graduating with a BDS, MDS (OMFS), and PhD from the University of Hong Kong, Professor Leung began his career in OMFS since 2004. With over 130 publications in peer-reviewed international journals, he ranks among the Top 2% of the World's Most Cited Scientists by Stanford University in recent years. Professor Leung's clinical and research interests encompass orthognathic surgery, management of obstructive sleep apnea, trigeminal nerve repair, and dentoalveolar surgery.
