Dr Yuxuan Ma specializes in biomimetic mineralization and tissue regeneration. She received her PhD from the School of Stomatology, The Fourth Military Medical University. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow in Applied Oral Sciences & Community Dental Care at the Faculty of Dentistry, The University of Hong Kong. Her research explores the mechanisms governing physiological mineralization and pathological ectopic calcification, and engineers bioinspired scaffolds that harness neural–vascular–immune crosstalk to promote the regeneration of bone defects. Dr. Ma has published 13 first- or co-first-author SCI-indexed papers and leads an NSFC Young Scientists Fund (Category C) project. She was selected for the 2025 Hong Kong Scholars Program.
