Faculty Pays Tribute to Class of 2025 and Distinguished Awardees at 215th Congregation
The 215th Congregation Class of 2025, HKU Faculty of Dentistry
The 215th Congregation cum Diploma & Prize Presentation Ceremony, held on 25 November 2025 at the Grand Hall of the Lee Shau Kee Lecture Centre, Centennial Campus of The University of Hong Kong, marked a proud milestone for the HKU Faculty of Dentistry, and celebrated the achievements of this year’s graduating class.
Degrees and diplomas were conferred on graduates from across the Faculty’s programmes in recognition of their successful completion of demanding academic studies, research work and intensive clinical training. Prizes and awards were also presented to students who excelled in academic performance, clinical skills, patient care, research and community service, reflecting the Faculty’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded oral health professionals.
The ceremony was presided over by Professor Lijian Jin, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, in his first Congregation in this role. In his address, Professor Jin praised the graduates for their perseverance, resilience and adaptability throughout their years of study. He noted that their journeys had been shaped not only by lectures and laboratory work, but also by clinical practice and community service, where they cared for patients from diverse backgrounds. Emphasising that true excellence in dentistry lies where knowledge meets compassion, he encouraged graduates to carry this spirit into every stage of their professional careers and expressed strong confidence that they would advance oral healthcare locally, nationally and globally.
