HKU Dentistry at HKIDEAS 2025

The HKU Faculty of Dentistry joined dental professionals from across the region at the Hong Kong International Dental Expo and Symposium (HKIDEAS) 2025, held from 22 to 24 August at the Convention Hall of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).
Organised by the Hong Kong Dental Association, HKIDEAS is one of the city’s flagship events for clinical excellence, innovation, and professional exchange. Over three days, the Faculty’s booth became a busy meeting point for alumni, practitioners, industry partners, and prospective collaborators.
Visitors learned about the Faculty’s latest achievements in clinical service, research, and education, including advances in preventive dentistry, digital workflows, and community oral health initiatives. Staff and students were on hand to answer questions, introduce current projects, and explore opportunities for collaboration in areas such as translational research and continuing dental education.

The event also offered an invaluable platform for two-way dialogue. Through conversations at the booth and on the exhibition floor, the Faculty gained insights into emerging clinical needs and practice trends—perspectives that will help shape future programmes and research directions.
Participation in HKIDEAS 2025 underscored the Faculty’s commitment to engaging with the wider profession and contributing to the advancement of oral health in Hong Kong and beyond. The Faculty extends sincere thanks to everyone who visited the booth and looks forward to building on the connections forged over these three inspiring days.
