A New Journey Begins

Professor Thomas Flemmig

Professor Thomas Flemmig, Dean, welcomes freshmen on Orientation Day 2022

The Faculty organised the Induction Talk and Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) First Year Orientation 2022 at HKU Main Campus and the Prince Philip Dental Hospital respectively to welcome the freshmen of academic year 2022/23.

Faculty Induction Day 2022

BDS Year 1 students joined the Induction Talk at the Centennial Campus, HKU, on 18 August. Dr Dissanayaka, Waruna Lakmal, Faculty Academic Advising & First Year Experience Coordinator, together with several HKU departmental representatives gave talks to the rookies.

After a one-hour programme, the freshmen got an idea on the overview of the BDS curriculum, Common Core Curriculum, IT services, Equal Opportunities within Campus, Electives and Experimental Learning, Academic Advising and Student Affairs. The talk equipped the freshmen with information on campus life and student services at HKU.
