New Staff
The Faculty expresses its warmest regards to the newly joined academic staff. We wish them a successful start to their academic careers at HKU.
Professor Zhongyuan Tang
Clinical Assistant Professor in Orthodontics
Professor Tang obtained a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree and a Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) degree in Orthodontics from Jilin University in 2017 and 2020, respectively. Prior to joining our Faculty, he was a full-time PhD student in the Faculty. His major research interest is in osteoimmunology.
Professor Peng Gao
Assistant Professor in Molecular Microbiology
Professor Gao obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from the Beijing Normal University in 2006, a Master of Medicine degree from Tsing Hua University in 2009 and a PhD degree in Chemical Genetics from HKU in 2014. Prior to joining our Faculty, Professor Gao was a Research Assistant Professor in the HKU Department of Microbiology. His major research fields are antibiotics resistance, alternatives, medical microbiology, and biofilm.
