Professor Chu Chun-Hung is an Endowed Chair Professor and Associate Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at The University of Hong Kong (HKU). He has previously held esteemed positions, including President of the Asia Academy of Preventive Dentistry, the South East Asia Association for Dental Education, and the Society of Preventive Dentistry of Hong Kong.
Professor Chu earned his professional degrees, including a BDS, MDS, and PhD, from HKU. Through advanced training and examinations, he became a Diplomate of the American Board of General Dentistry (ABGD), a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (FRACDS), a Dental Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine (FHKAM), and a Fellow in Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FDSRCSEd). He is also a Master of the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD) and has received the prestigious AGD Lifelong Learning & Service Recognition Award.
Professor Chu was elected a Fellow of the Faculty of Dental Trainers of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FFDTEd) for his commitment to dental education, a Fellow of the Academy of Dental Materials (FADM) for his achievements in scientific research, and a Fellow of the International College of Dentists (FICD) for his dedication to community service. His dedication to community service was further recognized with the prestigious ICD President’s Citation Fellow Award.
