HKU Dentistry holds joint retreat with Prince Philip Dental Hospital management team

Representatives from the HKU Faculty of Dentistry and the Prince Philip Dental Hospital gather for a joint retreat to strengthen bonds.

On 1 March 2025, representatives from the HKU Faculty of Dentistry and the Prince Philip Dental Hospital gathered for a joint retreat at the Clearwater Bay Golf and Country Club, where they engaged in thoughtful discussion and a true meeting of minds. Among the 40 or so participants were the Chairman and Members of the Board of Governors of the Hospital, then-Acting Faculty Dean, Professor Lijian Jin, as well as senior members from both the teaching and clinical teams of the Faculty.

More than a conventional meeting, the retreat marked a strategic convergence between the two esteemed institutions, aimed at reinforcing collaborative efforts and professional cooperation. It provided a unique forum for open dialogue, where participants exchanged ideas, aligned goals, and explored innovative strategies to advance their shared mission of clinical excellence.

This joint retreat reaffirmed a mutual commitment to ensuring that both institutions continue to thrive and shape the future of dental and oral health sciences in an increasingly complex and dynamic healthcare ecosystem.
