Educational visit by dental students
Primary school children are taught proper toothbrushing techniques.
Promoting oral health from an early age is crucial for building a foundation of good dental habits. Our BDS students from the Dental Public Health Committee recently had the opportunity to visit a primary school and engage with over 100 students in primary 4 and 5.
During the interactive session, our dental students facilitated informative discussions and organised enjoyable games to make the learning experience engaging and memorable. The school children learned about the causes and symptoms of dental caries (tooth decay) and were educated on effective measures to mitigate risks, including proper toothbrushing and flossing techniques. The enthusiasm and active participation of the school children made the session truly rewarding for everyone involved.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our exceptional dental students for their outstanding efforts in promoting dental health among young school children. Their dedication and hard work have made a significant impact to fostering a healthier future for generations to come.
