Reaching out for assistance
Faculty members complete the Mental Health First Aid training.
The Faculty places great importance on the well-being of our students and is committed to addressing their mental health needs and concerns. Several faculty members have recently completed the Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training offered by HKU CEDARS.
Through this training, these faculty members have acquired the necessary knowledge and skills to provide mental health first aid and support. While they are not trained to offer professional counselling, they are well-prepared to assist students who may be facing mental health difficulties. Their role is to provide initial support and guidance, and if needed, direct individuals to appropriate resources and services for professional assistance.
If you find yourself in need of assistance regarding mental health concerns, we encourage you to reach out to our trained faculty members. They are here to listen, offer understanding, and provide guidance on accessing the appropriate support services available to you.
Remember, your well-being matters, and seeking help is a brave and important step towards maintaining good mental health. You are not alone, and our Faculty is committed to supporting you throughout your academic journey.
