Acting Dean of Dentistry

Professor Lijian Jin assumes Acting Deanship from July 2024

Professor Lijian Jin leads the Faculty of Dentistry with his vast experience and insightful vision.

Following the completion of Emeritus Professor Thomas Flemmig's second term as Dean of Dentistry in June 2024, the University has appointed Professor Lijian Jin as the Acting Dean of Dentistry starting from July 1, 2024 and until the arrival of the new Dean.

Professor Jin brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He currently holds positions as Clinical Professor and Modern Dental Laboratory Professor in Clinical Dental Science at the Faculty of Dentistry. He has been a part of the University community since 1994 and has previously served as the Associate Dean for Mainland & Global Affairs, as well as the Associate Dean for Research, Innovation & Enterprise.

With his extensive knowledge, expertise, and dedication to the field of dentistry, Professor Jin is well-prepared to take on the responsibilities of the Acting Dean. Under his leadership, the Faculty of Dentistry will continue to thrive and uphold its commitment to excellence in education, research, knowledge exchange and patient care.
