Visit by Hong Kong College of Emergency Medicine

Touring IAD-MSC’s cutting-edge facilities

Delegation from the Hong Kong College of Emergency Medicine visits IAD-MSC.

The Institute for Advanced Dentistry - Multi-Specialty Clinic (IAD-MSC) hosted fellows and trainees from the Hong Kong College of Emergency Medicine (HKCEM) in February 2024, paving the way for potential collaboration and knowledge exchange.

Led by Dr Clara Wu, President of the HKCEM, the delegation embarked on an extensive clinic tour, guided by Mr Gerhard Zielinski, Director of IAD-MSC. The tour showcased the state-of-the-art facilities at the IAD-MSC, cutting-edge equipment, and advanced dental and maxillofacial services.

“We are delighted to welcome our distinguished guests from the HKCEM, and we look forward to a fruitful collaboration and exchange of knowledge,” said Mr Zielinski.

It was an insightful visit and we are eager to explore opportunities for future collaboration.

Professor Mike Leung, Clinical Professor in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, gave a presentation on dental and maxillofacial trauma, sharing his experiences in trauma management, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and postoperative care. His sharing sparked animated discussions among the attendees and created a dynamic exchange of experiences and viewpoints.

The day concluded with a comprehensive analysis of dental abscesses by Professor Angeline Lee, Clinical Assistant Professor in Endodontics. She emphasised the importance of prompt intervention and appropriate treatment approaches. This session facilitated a deeper understanding of the topic and allowed for the exchange of valuable insights.
