Faculty members gathered for a vibrant day of brainstorming and collaboration during the Faculty Research Retreat on March 7, 2024, held at the Aberdeen Marina Club. They shared the same goals of identifying innovative research themes and potential partnerships.
The event was honoured by the presence of Professor Max Shen, Vice-President and Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research) at HKU, who shared the University’s research direction and strategies.
Colleagues also exchanged valuable tips on securing funding opportunities and effectively measuring research impacts. They also learned about upcoming interdisciplinary collaborations across various HKU faculties, and some promising funding opportunities. These exciting opportunities have the potential to elevate the Faculty’s research to new heights.
The Faculty Research Retreat 2024 was not just about work. It was also a day of relaxation and enriching discussions to setting the stage for future research discoveries.
