Seventeen Faculty members named in list of world’s top 2% scientists

A total of 17 full-time staff members at the HKU Faculty of Dentistry have been recognised among the world’s most influential scientists of 2024, according to the latest rankings released jointly by Stanford University and academic publisher Elsevier.

The Stanford Elsevier Top Scientists List displays the top 2% of researchers from all over the world, based on citation metrics of publication outputs indexed in the Scopus database. Being named in the list signifies that a scientist’s work is highly influential and frequently cited by other researchers. Inclusion indicates a scientist’s substantial academic impact in furthering knowledge and research in their field.

We commend our staff’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of discovery and shaping the future of dentistry and oral health, benefiting both the scientific community and society as a whole.

This acknowledgment not only reflects individual accomplishments but also underscores the major contributions made by the HKU Faculty of Dentistry in advancing knowledge and education, improving practices, and driving innovation in dental and oral health sciences on a global scale.
