Sharing on Dentistry and Admissions

HKU InfoDay 2021 was organised on 30 Oct. The Faculty held a sharing webinar titled “The Fun of Studying Dentistry”.

Miss Sabrina Ng, Bachelor of Dental Surgery Year 2 student and Chair, Executive Committee, Dental Society; Dr Nicholas Sung, Master of Dental Surgery (Periodontology, Year 1) Student and Alumnus (2020); Dr Adrian Hon, Part-time Clinical Tutor in Prosthodontics and Alumnus (2008) and Dr Mike Leung, Admissions Tutor and Assistant Dean (External Relations) shared with the audience the curriculum of Bachelor of Dental Surgery, admissions tips, study life, fun life, as well as career paths. The sharing attracted over 300 participants.

Followed by the sharing session, Dr Mike Leung gave a presentation “Studying Dentistry in HKU” at the talk of Academy for the Talented at Grand Hall, HKU. He talked to 400 secondary school students about the basic facts and information of the Faculty, the fun and prospect of studying dentistry, and how to maintain a healthy work-life balance as dentists. The talk was concluded after an engaging Q&A session.
