Academic Staff Presented in Scientific Programme and Workshop

Organised by the Hong Kong Dental Association, the Hong Kong International Dental Expo And Symposium (HKIDEAS) was hosted from 10 to 12 December 2021 at the Hong Kong Conventional and Exhibition Centre. The Faculty of Dentistry was honored to support the event through knowledge exchange.
Presenting at the scientific programme after the opening ceremony on 10 December was Dr Mike Leung, Clinical Associate Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He delivered an hour-long talk on “Prevention and Management of Trigeminal Nerve Injury: The Hong Kong Experience. The talk ended after an engaging Q&A Session.
On 11 December, Professor Gary Cheung, Clinical Professor in Endodontics and Dr Walter Lam, Clinical Assistant Professor in Prosthodontics delivered a hands-on workshop “Into the root & Up to the crown” for participants.

Photo Contest Booth
The Faculty ran a booth at HKIDEAS. In celebration of the 40th Anniversary, “Dentistry40 Photo Contest” was hosted at the booth. Participants were invited to take photos at the booth and submit their photos to win a chance to participate in the 40th Anniversary Scientific Symposium.
Graduate Won at Poster Presentation
Newly graduate Dr Jasper Leung and his research teammates were selected as the Winner for the Poster Presentation. The topic of his award-winning poster is “Accuracy And Safety Of In-House Surgeon-Designed Three-Dimensional Printed Patient Specific Implants For Water-Less Le Fort I Osteotomy”.
