Faculty Showcased Latest Innovation
Dr James Tsoi at InnoCarnival 2021
Dr James Tsoi, Assistant Dean (Innovation) and his team participated at the InnoCarnival 2021 from 23 to 31 October at the Science Park, showcasing their latest innovation development on “Plaque Cleaning Apparatus Using Dental Acrylic 3-D Printing Technique by Micro-mist Injection for Elderly and Disabled”. It was one of the six HKU projects demonstrating at the event.
We wish the project, in the future, can improve the oral hygiene for the elderly and people with disabilities or dysphagia so that they can enjoy better physical and psychological health.
Dr Tsoi said, “It is a pleasure to join this carnival. This year’s theme is ‘Innovation for a Bright Future’. The Faculty is committed to delivering impact through innovation, on top of oral health sciences, education and professional care. We wish the project, in the future, can improve the oral hygiene for the elderly and people with disabilities or dysphagia so that they can enjoy better physical and psychological health.” He also acknowledged the funding support from the Innovation and Technology Fund for Better Living, Innovation and Technology Bureau.
InnoCarnival 2021 was organised by the Innovation and Technology Commission of the Hong Kong SAR Government.
